Who we are
We are an independent not-for-profit organisation working to prevent further extinctions of Australia’s threatened flora and fauna.
To work collaboratively with community, government and scientists to improve the conservation status of Australia’s threatened plants, animals and ecological communities.
To establish and foster community interest in Australia’s threatened plants, animals and ecological communities.
How will this be achieved?
PARTNERING WITH LAND MANAGERS AND STAKEHOLDERS
We work closely with land managers and stakeholders to develop and implement recovery actions that protect and restore threatened flora, fauna and ecological communities.
RAISING AWARENESS THROUGH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We believe that engagement through threatened species recovery provides an excellent opportunity to teach people about the complexity and importance of native species and ecological systems.
SUPPORTING AND CONTRIBUTING TO ECOLOGICAL RESEARCH
We work closely with research scientists to ensure our work is closely informed by science and innovation. Our work provides an opportunity to answer important research questions that can contribute to the greater body of science.
WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH THE GOVERNMENT SECTOR
We ensure that our projects align with threatened species priorities outlined by state and federal governments.
